A história se passa num futuro próximo. Guiados por uma determinada música, o jovem estudante da escola primária Sorata, da Era Heisei, é enviado pelo tempo para um lugar desconhecido que se parece muito com as cidades do período Meiji ou Taishou de seus livros didáticos. Neste mundo, ele conhece três moças e nove rapazes e se junta a eles em uma viagem a bordo do misterioso navio Norn, um globo gigante que flutua no ar.
